About Karin
Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet. Finding a clinical psychologist in Florida (if you’re going virtual) or in south Florida (if you’re looking for in-person services) can be time consuming and frustrating. Who can help you with your specific needs? The good news is that if I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m happy to give you some additional names and resources, who might be.
If you want to read some credentials and a bit about my professional journey, this part is for you.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, an adjunct professor and a psychoanalytic candidate. First licensed as a psychologist in the state of California (PSY23438), I then became a Florida licensed psychologist in 2011 (PY 8275). Speaking at over 15 professional conferences and workshops around the country has been a highlight of my professional life. In addition, I have presented webinars and have been interviewed on international podcasts. I teach and supervise in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Nova Southeastern University, which feels full-circle. Nova was my doctoral program back in the early 2000s. For many years I was considered a certified eating disorder specialist and approved supervisor through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). While I let that credential go in summer of 2021 to focus on new endeavors, I know that supporting the healing work of eating disorder patients will always be a part of my practice.
My current professional developmental adventure is contemporary psychoanalytic training in NYC with a group of therapists from around the United States. This will be a ongoing endeavor until 2025 and includes supervision with a psychoanalytic psychologist, my own psychoanalysis, seminars …and traveling to New York City! I am not mad about that.
To say I have a dedication and love for the field of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis is an understatement. My work is a large part of my life. I am invested in learning, exploring and being curious about life with others. I find my work with patients enlivening, intellectually stimulating and personally meaningful.
Whether you use the online resources on this website in a self-help format or make the decision to work with me directly, my hope is that I add to your life in some way. Call me if you want to consider working together.
